Today is Gary's birthday and also mine. I grew up hearing the story of our births every year. Same day, same hospital, same Dr. And we went all through school together! Clare and family, you have my sincere condolences. Clare, he talked about you as his shining star, and talked about his love of his children and grandson. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. I had a good friend who died the same day, so I missed the obituary in the paper. May Jesus give you peace and strength as the firsts without him come up. In God's love.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this most difficult time. When God calls one home so suddenly it is so much harder to process it all. Hopefully with the love of family and friends you will find comfort and peace in all the memories and in time heal your hearts.

We are so sorry to hear of Gary's passing.  He has been a great friend of Joe and Kurt's for as long as I can remember.  It is so sad that it came so suddenly.  He was doing something at the time he loved to do.  God can be kind sometimes, having him pass in his presence in nature.  May the memories of all the good times that Gary had with everyone help ease the pain.  God bless you all and help you heal.

My sincerest condolences to Gary's family.  From fishing, forestry, camping in the snow, hiking in the White Mountains, stoking the fire at our camp in Tioga County, and occasionally telling tales, Gary 's friendship will always endure.  May his passing remind all of us of the precious life we have.

I met Gary on a camping trip. He was the sort of person you liked instantly, and knew he would be your friend forever. Spent many an enjoyable evening with him in front of the campfire and days shooting archery. Sending my heart felt condolence to Clare and the McWilliams family.
