Robert E. Sweeley, 93 of Williamsport passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014, at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.

   Born October 10, 1921 in Glen Campbell, PA he was a son of the late Frank E. and Isabelle (Sims) Sweeley.  Prior to his retirement, Bob was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years.  He was a Marine Corp Aviation Veteran serving in World War II in the Pacific Theater.  Bob was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Williamsport.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

   Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Dorothy M. (Yeagle) Sweeley.  Surviving in addition to his wife is three daughters, Nancy Kohler of Williamsport, Donna (Robert) Phillips of Wellsboro, Helen Blank of Elimsport, two sons, Donald Sweeley of Enola, Frank Sweeley of North Carolina, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a brother Thomas Sweeley of Williamsport.  He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bernard, James, and Donald Sweeley.

   A funeral service to honor the life of Robert will be at 11 am on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport, by his Pastor John Baney who will officiate.  Interment will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.  Friends may call on Wednesday at Sanders Mortuary from 10 am until service time.
