Maxine B. Lorson, 80, of Williamsport, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Muncy Valley Hospital
She was the wife of the late Eugene R. Lorson who died Feb. 24, 2013. The couple were married in Holy Rosary Church on June 21, 1952. They celebrated 60 years of marriage on June 21, 2012.
Born on March 1, 1934 in Newberry, Maxine was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Blanche M. (Zuchowski) Mahonski.
She worked as an assembler in the accessory department at ShopVac for 27 and a half years, retiring in 1996. Previously she worked as a shoe weaver at Cobblers.
Maxine was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish and a former church choir member. She enjoyed collecting antique dishes, playing cards and baking.
Maxine is survived by two daughters, Christine M. Dannemann of Muncy and Catherine L. Cupp and husband, Daniel W. of York; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah A. and Douglas Dickey; sister, Dorothy L. Bradley; brother, Donald J. Mahonski; and cousin Florence Roskowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, at St. Joseph the Worker the Parish, 702 W. Fourth St. Williamsport. Burial will be held in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Sanders Mortuary 821 Diamond St. Williamsport.
