Frances A. Confer 63, of Williamsport, died Saturday, February 11, 2017, at UPMC Susquehanna Hospital, Williamsport.

Born August 22, 1953, in Baltimore, Md., she was a daughter of Richard and Frances (Lambert) Drabic. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Jacob O. Confer Jr. on August 22, 2013.

She was a graduate of Williamsport High School and graduated from Williamsport Area Community College with a CNA degree. She had worked at Wundies and the Olive Garden. Frances enjoyed baking, crocheting, sewing, reading Nora Roberts Books and volunteering at First United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Most of all she loved her family and being with her grandchildren.

Surviving are four children, Martha Lease (Tim) of Williamsport, Dorothy Setliff (Brian) of Sarasota, Fla., Belinda Parsons (Bryan) of Williamsport, and Jacob O. Confer, III of Williamsport; eight grandchildren, Cody, Zachery, Tasmin, Kortnei, Brian, Benjamin, Daemin, Sienna; and two sisters, Sharline Litz of Avis, and Roberta Decker of Concord, N.H.

A memorial service to honor the life of Frances will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 18 at First United Methodist Church, 604 Market St., Williamsport.
Burial will be private in Montoursville Cemetery.
