Roberta Lois “Bertie” Coleman, 79, of Williamsport entered her eternal resting place, where she was greeted at the gates of heaven by her parents and brother Max on Friday, February 10, 2017.

Born June 20, 1937 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ernestine (Herriman) Wahler.    

Bertie was a 1955 graduate of Williamsport High School. She worked as a teacher’s aide for Williamsport Area School District for many years, and became the librarian at Round Hills Elementary for eight years. Bertie was a member of Garden View Church of Christ. She enjoyed camping, reading, but loved taking care of her family.

She leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Jack L. Coleman, Sr., four children, Glenda L. Wheeler (Bob) of Morris, Jack L. Coleman, Jr. of Williamsport, Ronald L. Coleman of Williamsport, Dion L. Coleman (Mary Lou) of Trout Run, six grandchildren, one great grandson, a brother Robert Wahler (Charlotte) of Maine, three sisters, Doris Sander of Georgia, Sharon Greninger (Gene) of Montgomery, and Dawn Kehrer (Darryl) of Virginia.  

A memorial service to honor the life of Roberta will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
