Although this message is tardy in its sending, I wanted Charles to know that I so appreciated his and Jane's friendship over the years that I was in office. They were always so cheerful - a great couple and truly cared about their Newberry neighborhood and the City. I know the George family will miss her.
Sincerely,
Mary Wolf

Charlie, Steve and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Janie was such a wonderful person. I will always have fond memories of her singing at my wedding years ago....The times l got to spend with her at mom's beauty shop were always nice. She was a blessing on this earth, and l am sure she is connecting with those that passed before her. What a wonderful reunion that is for her.

Charlie, Steve, Muff, Jess and Meg,
I wish I could find the best words possible in this time of your loss. Janie was certainly one of the finest people I have ever known. Her sense of humor and caring for people is something I hope you can always remember. She ALWAYS made me feel welcome in her home and I can still hear her say "why don't you stay for (lunch, dinner) I'll throw another can of water in the soup." I wish I could be there with you to celebrate her life, but distance and health issues prevent that. I always enjoyed visiting Janie and Charlie when I came back to Pa, I will miss that. In your time of sorrow remember all the good times with her and all the people whose lives she touched and made better. Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our condolences to the family. I personally share your feelings at this time as Janey substituted as a much needed mother many times and Charlie and Steve as surrogate father and brother. She was so personable and caring and a stanch defender of her beliefs and family. She was one of the guiding forces that led me to enter the ministry and will have an everlasting place in my heart. Because of a shared faith in JESUS CHRIST I know I will see her again. Due to obligations I cannot attend her memorial service and Dad recently broke his shoulder and can't get around, but know you are all in our prayers. John & Joy Aderhold
