Warren E. Erb, Sr., 88, of Williamsport passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital. Surviving is his loving wife D. Janie (Crandall) Erb, who he would have shared 67 years with on August 29, 2019.
Born August 31, 1930, in Limestoneville he was a son to the late Arthur Sr., and Martha (Criswell) Erb.
Warren was a 1948 graduate of Williamsport High School. He worked for Spencers Heater and then retired from Williamsport Wyrope in 1995. He was a member of Christian Church of Cogan Station. Warren enjoyed all sports, and especially enjoyed attending the Williamsport High School Basketball games, where he was known to the students as ‘The Candy Man’.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Cynthia Trostle (Jon), of Elizabethtown, Ellen Price (Mark), of West Grove, and Warren E. Erb, Jr., of West Grove; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Erb, of Williamsport; and a daughter-in-law, Shelia.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Mark A. Erb, ten brothers and three sisters.
A funeral service to honor the life of Warren will held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. Burial will fo llow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Sanders.
