Olympia H. Sarantos-Marnoch, 82, of Turbotville, formerly of Williamsport, died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born December 11, 1936, in Williamsport she was a daughter to the late Nicholas and Stella (Moutis) Sarantos.
Olympia was a graduate of Williamsport High School and earned her nursing degree from PolyTech in Harrisburg. She retired from White Deer Run Rehabilitation Center and local hospitals after working more than 30 years as a Registered Nurse.
Olympia was a member of Holy Cross Orthodox Church. She loved reading and was a patron of the McEwensville Library. She enjoyed watching old movies, art and especially painting.
Surviving are four daughters Valerie A. Frey (Dale) of Hughesville, Leslie E. Kaehn (Steve) of Trinity, FL, Cassandra A. Ring of Austin, TX and Melina M. Golden-Eck (Jennifer Eck) of Williamsport, five grandchildren, Jennifer Reaser (Frank), Sarah Frey (Tom), Michael Ring (Sydney), Ryli Meyer and Brennen Meyer (Tegan), five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Ashley, Tanner, Avalene and Olive, a sister Helen Sarantos-Stewart of Montoursville, her special friends Tom Kane of Danville and Naomi Peachey of Turbotville, several nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Rolly Ann.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings George Sarantos, Alexander Sarantos, Harry Sarantos, and Julia Sarantos-Richenbach.
A funeral service to honor the life Olympia will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 31 at Holy Cross Orthodox Church, 1725 Holy Cross Ln., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at church.
