Nora B. Crandall, 82, of Williamsport, died peacefully, Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Valley View Nursing Home, Montoursville. Surviving is her loving husband of 52 years, James B. Crandall.
Born March 3, 1937, in Linden, she was a daughter of Melvin M. and Ellen E. (Fink) Grove.
Nora had been employed at Weldons and Lane Bryant. She was a fashionista at heart, who enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, puzzles and square dancing. Nora and her husband loved traveling together, from fishing trips in Canada to Salt Lake City, Utah, or around the back country roads they always enjoyed each other’s company.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Laurie E. Stinson (Paul); her step-children, Garry L. Crandall (Cheryl), of Cogan Station, Rita A. Yost (Thomas), of Washington, Samuel B. Crandall (Sandy), of Troy, Mo., and Rodger Crandall, of Park, CO.; her siblings, Dorothy Shick (Richard), of Mansfield, Ann Grove, of Williamsport and Melvin Grove, of Williamsport; five grandchildren, Sierra, P.J., Ethan, Lathaniel, and Nina;and many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith L. Tawney and Sharon K. Wolfgang.
A funeral service to honor the life of Nora will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday April 25, at Sanders Mortuary 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. A visitation will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
