Jeanne M. (Morgan) Apker

     Jeanne M. Apker, 77, of Williamsport, passed away surrounded by family Saturday, August 3, 2019 at her daughter’s home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Edgar R. Apker, Jr. on November 3, 2000.

     Born September 18, 1941, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Joseph C., Sr.  and Verna A. (Casner) Morgan.

     Jeanne graduated from Beckman’s Beauty Academy and attended Liberty Church, Williamsport. She was an avid reader and enjoyed books and newspapers. Jeanne enjoyed being outdoors camping and attending picnics. Most of all she loved and cherished spending time with her family.

     Surviving are her three children, John F. Vought, Jr. (Gail), of Williamsport, Gina L. Keefer (Jesse), of Hollidaysburg, and Christy D. Smith-Fedesco (Donald), of Williamsport; seven grandchildren, Jessica Kidane (Abraham), Jason Vought (Tanya), Josh Vought, Thane Marshall, Brandi Quintiere (Charles), Dylan Keefer, and Alyssa Smith; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Vought, Mary Vought, Carter Quintiere, and Julia Vought; a brother in law, James Barner, of Erie; a sister in law, Jean Morgan, of Linden; and several nieces, nephews and her beloved cat Abby.

     In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son, Edgar R. “Ricky” Apker, III, a brother, Joseph C. Morgan, Jr., and a sister Helen E. Barner.

     A funeral service to honor the life of Jeanne will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 9 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 8 and 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at Sanders Mortuary.
