Gail L. (Bovee) Sober

     Gail Louise (Bovee) Sober, 81 of Williamsport passed away of Acute AML Leukemia, Sunday, April 21, 2019  in Townsend, DE at her daughter’s residence.

     Gail was born November 17, 1937 in Williamsport to the late Robert O. and Frances G. (McDermott) Bovee.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Paul G. Sober on March 14, 2013.

     She was a 1956 graduate of Williamsport High School and was the class historian of the Class Reunion Committee.  She was also a member of the 7th Ward Election Board as Minority Inspector.  She was a member of the former St. Matthew Lutheran Church and now a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church, Cogan Station.

     Surviving are her daughters, Janet G. Mease (Eric F.), of Townsend, DE, Sharon E. Harris (Ronald W.), of Russell, PA; grandchildren, Heidi A. Miller (Mark), of Townsend, DE, Adam M.F. Mease (Lauren), of Townsend, DE, Sarah E. Black (Kevin), of Warren, PA, Rachel N. Harris and partner Nichole Wilcox, of Erie, PA; and six great grandchildren Jason & Zoe Miller, Owen & Shane Mease all of Townsend, DE, and  Addison & Harrison Black of Warren, PA.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Deborah Damaska and Roberta Grimes and great grandson Justin Miller.

     A funeral service to honor the life of Gail will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 26, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. Burial will be held in Montoursville Cemetery, Williamsport. A visitation will be held Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Sanders.
