Betty Maroni Obituary

Betty Charlotte (Hafer) Maroni, 81, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Gatehouse.

Born January 8, 1938 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Harry A. “Ham” and Stella Mae (Edwards) Hafer.

Betty was a 1955 graduate of Williamsport High School. She retired from Brodart after 25 years. Betty loved going to casinos, reading, playing on the computer, and crocheting.

Surviving is her loving husband of 61 years, Albert J. Maroni, her children Albert Jr., Robert, Lewis, Charlotte Maroni, and Bridget Cowher, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters; June Hively (Merle) and Charlotte Griffith (James), extended family and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by a son, Harry Maroni, a daughter Debra Morehart, and a sister, Dora Welch.

In keeping with her wishes, services will be private.
