Allen S. Galentine

Allen S. Galentine, 85, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport. Allen was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Verrena K. (Seyler) Galentine on January 21, 2009.

Born, November 6, 1933, in Luthersburg, he was a son of the late George and Lydia (Marshall) Galentine.

Allen had worked for Fairfield Manufacturing for over 40 years.  Allen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, canning, fishing, and most of all spending time with family.

Surviving are four children Diana Pfleegor (Dyson) of New Columbia, Gloria Williams of Williamsport, Allen Galentine (Beth) of Virginia, and Michael Galentine (Ashley) of Williamsport; five step-children; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Allen was preceded in death by a sister Lola Kashella, and a brother Jack Galentine.

A memorial service to honor the life of Allen will be held 7 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until the time of service at Sanders Mortuary. Burial will be private in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
