William "KP" Horace Lathaiel Coles

William “KP” Horace Lathaiel Coles, 52, affectionately known as “King Power,” of Williamsport passed peacefully in his sleep, Sunday, July 20, 2025.

Born August 25, 1972 in Plainfield, New Jersey he was a son of the late Nathaniel Coles and Barbara Ann Woods.

He attended the Plainfield and Scotch Plains school system and graduated from East Orange High School and for many years worked at Brodart and Suscon.

KP found joy in the rhythm of life especially through his love of music, where he’d humorously mumble just six words through an entire rap song. KP cherished time spent with his family, children, and grandchildren, and was always the life of the party, especially when surrounded by those he loved. Whether relaxing outdoors or enjoying the company of his beloved dog, Royalty, fondly called “Baby Baby”. KP brought laughter, warmth, and unforgettable memories to everyone around him.

Surviving is his loving wife of 25 years, Latisha M. Anderson; children, Monique Anderson-Parker, Shanika Coles, Tracey Coles, and Nathaniel Coles; four grandchildren; Sincere Felton, and Jae'den, Heaven, and Angel Anderson-Parker; siblings, Leon McGirk, Anthony McGirk, Germaine Coles, Gussie Coles, Shikima Coles, and Roshan Coles; special aunts, Delores McGirk and Cleavern Brown; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, and grandparents, he was preceded in death by, a son, William Coles Jr.; siblings, Ronnie Coles, Nathan Coles Jr., Esther Coles and Yvonne Coles; an aunt Marvara Ann Green; and a grandmother, Gussie McGirk.

A viewing will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. A service to honor KP’s life will follow at 3:30 p.m.
