Theresa Barbara "Babs" (Sullivan) Esposit

Theresa Barbara "Babs" Esposit, 93, a lifelong member of the Newberry Area died peacefully at the Williamsport Home on Sunday, July 28, 2024.

Born February 13, 1931 in Renovo, Babs as she was affectionately known, was the last surviving child of Francis and Theresa J. (Chulak) Sullivan.

She was a proud graduate of the Class of 1948 at St. Joseph High School in Renovo. She was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, an active life member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, including previously running the kitchen at the Fleming Center. She loved black coffee, candy, cookies, making rosaries, playing bingo, and lottery scratch off tickets.

Surviving are her children, Linda L. Lockcuff of Linden, Theresa A. Bair, Deborah L. Esposit (Kim Getz), both of Williamsport, Anthony J. “Skip” Esposit, Jr. of Blue Springs, MO, Mary E. Sheleman of Kettering, OH, and Annette J. Herr (Brian) of Montoursville; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 generations of nieces and nephews; and countless neighbors and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. Esposit, Sr.; a son, Thomas A. Esposit; a daughter, Barbara M. Hunsberger; and her siblings, Mary Kilpatrick, Rita Peters, Donald, Francis, John and Patricia Sullivan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Friday, August 2, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, with Rev. David W. Bechtel officiating. Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery, Muncy. A viewing will be held from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 1 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street Williamsport.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Theresa's name may be made to St. John Neumann Regional Academy, 901 Penn Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
