Terry Lee Garner

Terry Lee Garner, 58, of South Williamsport passed away, Thursday, May 15, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born December 4, 1966 in Reading he was a son of the late Russell and Carol (Brockway) Garner.

Terry was a proud member of Northway Community Church, where he found strength in his faith and fellowship. He was the founder of Simply God 101, a text devotional ministry that focused on sharing the love of God one text at a time. Terry had a deep love for the outdoors and spent many happy days hunting and fishing. A lifelong hockey fan, Terry especially enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Flyers. He also had a special place in his heart for Christmas from the music that played all year around, to the decorations, joy and togetherness the season brings, it was his favorite time of year. Most of all, Terry's deep love for his family will be profoundly missed.

Surviving is his loving wife of 10 years, Ashley R. (Plaugher) Garner; six children, Jonathan Garner of York, Ryan Garner (Nicole) of New Jersey, Madalynn Garner (Aeron) of Millersville, Abrielle Garner, Jase Garner and Josie Garner; and four grandchildren.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Northway Community Church, 1680 Four Mile Dr., Williamsport. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday June 14th at church.

Memorial donations in Terry’s name to support the family with current and future expenses of the children may be sent to Northway Community Church, 1680 Four Mile Drive, Williamsport, PA 17701, until accounts can be set up in their names.
