Susan M. Whitehead, 53, of West Brandywine died unexpectedly in her sleep Friday, February 2, 2018.
Born August 9, 1964, in Pittsburgh, she is the beloved daughter of Charles G. and Joan A. (Pawlak) Whitehead III, of Williamsport.
A graduate of Williamsport High School class of 1982, she also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Kutztown University. She was recently employed as an Account Manager for Image Branding Group and had spent her career as a graphic artist.
Susan loved sports and was known for her athletic ability. She had many friends whom she was blessed to celebrate life with. She was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing in the women’s golf league at Downingtown Country Club, as well as numerous other venues. Susan was an excellent cook and could put on a Penn State football tailgating spread like no other. She loved cheering on the Nittany Lions. One of her most memorable moments was traveling and touring Ireland, where she saw the Penn State football team play in the Croke Park Classic. Her favorite summer destination was spending time with close friends along the Delaware beaches. Susan will always be remembered for her potluck dishes, contagious smile, infectious laugh and her big hugs from the heart.
Surviving in addition to her parents are a brother, Brett T. (Kiersha) Whitehead of Loyalsock Twp.; two nieces, Alexis and Adara, two aunts, Mary Lou and Patricia Whitehead of Olney, MD and her beloved pets, Jasper, Reggie, and Shady.
Susan was preceded in death by her brother, Scott C. Whitehead, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
A time of remembrance to honor the life of Susan will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport, PA.
