Susan M. “Ms. Sue” Reynolds, 65, of Williamsport, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 in her home.
Born January 14, 1959 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Patricia M. Buck and William F. Reynolds.
Susan graduated from Montgomery Area School District in 1977. She was employed as a manager in various locations. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was the competitive spirit of pool leagues, the mental challenge of crossword puzzles, or the thrill of a good yard sale find. Susan's love for playing marbles, cards, and poker was only matched by her love for the open road, riding her beloved motorcycle with a determination that defied her petite stature.
Susan’s biggest joy came from her family of four children, 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Her heart was truly one of the biggest, always open to anyone in need of a place to stay or a listening ear. Susan's dedication to her family was nothing short of heroic. The sacrifices she made for her children and grandchildren were immeasurable, earning her the title of "superwoman" in their eyes. Her love was a constant, reliable force that guided her family through life's many challenges. She was the anchor in the storm, the light in the darkness, and her strength was their foundation.
She is survived by her son Aaron A. Basey, two daughters, Misty D. Reynolds and Nya Drummond; a brother, Russel L. Reynolds; sister, Terry J. Kiper; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Candace Alicia Basey; a brother, Allen Reynolds and sister Tammy A. Collins.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 3:30 p.m. Friday, August 23, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport.
The family will bury Susan and her daughter, Alicia’s cremains privately in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery beside her brother and mother.
