Shawn Fink Obituary

Shawn Wayne Fink, 54,  lovingly known as Uncle Louie or Louie to many, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026 at home surrounded by family.

Born November 19, 1971  in Williamsport, he was a son of Harvey and Ann (Wool) Fink of Jersey Shore.

In his younger years, Shawn loved raising a little hell alongside his brothers, ensuring that their mother never had a dull day. He was a 1989 graduate of Jersey Shore High School. Shawn worked as an industrial millwright for many years.

After knowing each other most of their lives, Shawn truly met the brown curly haired love of his life, Trenna (Hennigan) Fink again in 1991. They began dating the following year in September and by Christmas that year they were engaged. Together during their 32 year marriage, they built a beautiful life full of love surrounded by sarcastic humor, random road trips, crafting projects, and countless drives from Rauchtown to Mifflinburg or Coudersport, always ending, of course, at Amy’s Frosty Freeze or A&W West End Grill, because that was the perfect ending to any day.

Together, Shawn and Trenna welcomed their beloved daughter, Amber Lee, whom Shawn loved with his whole heart. He cherished every moment spent discovering the world with her and Trenna; through camping adventures, trips to Delaware, days spent crabbing or clamming, and the familiar, comforting smell of Route One that always signaled they were exactly where they were meant to be.

A devoted family man, Shawn found his greatest joy in time spent with those he loved most, especially during the legendary “butcher days” at his beloved butcher shop, days filled with hard work, storytelling, and food that became tradition. He was famous for his homemade BBQ sauce, seasoned rubs, scrapple, burritos, taco salad, and countless other specialty dishes that were eagerly anticipated and forever remembered at family gatherings.

Shawn was known for his unforgettable bear hugs, the kind that wrapped you in comfort, often accompanied by his warm belly laugh, scruffy beard, and, if you were lucky, a gentle kiss on the top of your head. With a sense of humor reminiscent of one of his favorite shows Shameless, he had a gift for making people smile, laugh, and sometimes laugh so hard they cried. His colorful language was never without a joke or a shared laugh, and his presence could instantly lift the spirit of a room.

He is survived by his wife, Trenna (Hennigan) Fink; their daughter, Amber Lee Fink (Jordan Rachau); his parents, Harvey and Ann Fink; two brothers, Harvey “Ben” Fink (Julie) and Mark Fink (Deanna); numerous beloved brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Shawn’s life will be announced at a later date.
