Sarah A. Forney

Sarah Ann (Missigman) Forney, 86, passed away in her home town of Williamsport on Monday, November 18, 2024.

Born on January 13, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Joseph C. and Catherine (Reidy) Missigman. A proud graduate of St. Joseph High School, class of 1956, Sarah dedicated her professional life to the Insurance Claims Division in the Healthcare Industry. She served her community in the Lioness Bridge program and was a member of St Lawrence Catholic Church. Her love for golf often found her on the greens, especially while “wintering”, as she called it, in Florida. Back home, she was a familiar face at Little League games, and local bowling nights. Sarah reveled in the camaraderie of playing BINGO and cards with friends. If she needed a quiet evening, she would simply engross her mind in a mystery novel.

Surviving are her 4 sons, Gary Pearson (Suzanne), William Pearson, Jr. (Sharon Ertel), Michael Pearson (Malena), and Reverend Francis Pearson; seven grandchildren, Lauren (Peter), Chase (Katie), Emilie (Steven), Tess (Sarah), Angelo (Morgan), Beau, and Mia; eight great-grandchildren, Lucas, Natalie, Amelia, Joseph, Declan, Neve, Pearson, and Eloise. She also leaves behind two brothers, Lawrence and Francis Missigman; and one sister, Mary Louise Damaska.

Along with her parents, Sarah was also preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Missigman.

Sarah’s family would like to invite you to a service on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
