Sabrina Lynn Nolan, 27, of Williamsport, left this world all too soon on Friday, August 9, 2024. Born September 4, 1996, in Williamsport, to Matthew Nolan and Lisa Palermo, she was a shining light to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sabrina was a graduate of Williamsport High School class of 2014 where she was part of the cheerleading squad. Her love for languages and cultures propelled her to further her education at Penn State, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Spanish in 2018. Her passion for the Spanish language was not only evident in her studies but also in her career.
For six years, Sabrina inspired young minds as a Spanish teacher, most recently at Loyalsock Township Middle and High School. Her dedication to her students extended far beyond the classroom. Sabrina served as the advisor for the Spanish Club, where she led students on an unforgettable trip to Costa Rica. She also played an active role as the Student Council advisor, contributing to the success of events such as homecoming, winter formal, and pep rallies. Sabrina earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Point Park University and held certifications in English 7-12, English as a Second Language PK-12, as well as her Principal Certification, which she achieved in the spring of 2022.
Sabrina's love for travel was not limited to her professional life. She cherished moments spent traveling with her family, sharing adventures, and creating lasting memories. She enjoyed painting and could often be found exercising at Planet Fitness. Her presence was a bright spot in any room, with a smile that could, indeed, light up a room.
Sabrina was the loving granddaughter of Anna Mae Nolan and Mike and Gabriella Palermo all of Williamsport. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Edward Nolan, Sr. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, remembered by her devoted family, including her parents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her deeply.
A time of visitation to honor Sabrina’s life will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 14 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. Burial will be held privately.
