Rosa A. Beattie, 89, of South Williamsport, died Saturday, August 9, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport.
Born November 16, 1935 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Leonard and Eleanor (Griswold) Guillaume. She was the loving wife of John K. Beattie, Jr. whom she married on April 15, 1955 and together they shared 67 years until his passing on November 1, 2022.
Rosa devoted her life to hard work and family. For many years she served as a waitress at Mark’s, where her warm smile and friendly nature were well known. Rosa loved to travel. She and her husband, John, shared a passion for classic cars, attending car shows and were members of Antique Automobile Club of America. Above all, Rosa cherished time spent with her loved ones, treasuring every moment with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are three children Michael Beattie (Sharon) of South Williamsport, Diane Blazer (Stan) of Williamsport, and Karen Bean (Bill) of Cogan Station; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; seven siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Stephen Beattie in 2010, and five siblings.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
