Raymond D. "Doug" Poage, Sr.

Raymond D. “Doug” Poage, Sr., 70, of Trout Run passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025 at home.

Born April 23, 1955, in Fallston, MD he was the son of the late Carey Douglas and Margaret (Scarboro) Poage.

Doug was a truck driver for E & J Trucking in Liberty and Glenn O. Hawbaker for many years. He was a life member of the Trout Run Fire Company and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Doug lived by the mountain man code and was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. 

Surviving is his son, Mark A. Poage; three grandchildren; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Marie (Gross) Poage and son, Raymond D. Poage, Jr.

A visitation to honor Doug’s life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport.
