Raymond Allen Huggins, 80, of Williamsport passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020. Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years, Donna (Belton) Huggins.
Born March 23, 1939, in Williamsport he was a son of the late Allen R. and Lois G. (Caulkins) Huggins.
Ray was a 1957 graduate of Williamsport High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired as a computer programmer from Brodart Company after 48 years of service. Ray was a member of Pine Run United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school classes. He enjoyed volleyball, golf, tennis, bowling, softball and reading. He also enjoyed volunteering as a delivery driver for Meals on Wheels.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Penny A. Wrable (William), of Lock Haven, Peter R. Huggins (Jill), of Clinton, NY, Rhonda L. Shableski (John), of Linden, Adam R. Huggins of Abu Dhabi, and Andrew S. Huggins (Rob McGowen), of Whidbey Island, WA; 7 grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Fredricks (Don), of Pine Creek; brothers, Gary Huggins (Barb), of Duboistown and David Huggins, of Pittsburgh.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Huggins.
Due to recent health concerns the visitation and service for Raymond A. Huggins has been changed. The visitation and service will be private for immediate family only. A public celebration of Raymond’s life will be announced at a later date once the current safety issues have passed.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Ray’s name to Pine Run U.M.C., 1719 Pine Run Road, Linden PA 17740 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
