Ralph A. Cerrato

Ralph A. Cerrato, 81, of Williamsport, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at home. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Joy (Reitsma) Cerrato.

Born October 1, 1941, in Newark, NJ, he was the son of Anthony and Jeanette (Sicoli) Cerrato.

After graduating high school, Ralph attended both Union Jr. College and Seton Hall University where he earned an associate’s degree. Using his degree, he spent his career as a chemist at Cargille Laboratories, Inc in Cedar Grove, NJ.

After relocating to Pennsylvania, Ralph enjoyed many diverse career opportunities. He and Joy took care of their own dairy farm in Loganton and he later also worked for Shop Vac and STEP, Inc. in the Williamsport area.

 Ralph was a proud member of Garden View Baptist Church where he enjoyed dinners and the fellowship of those around him. He was a man who loved to eat and enjoyed the Italian food Joy would make for him. Ralph had a love of fishing and cheering on Penn State during every game.

Above all else, Ralph was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his sons, grandkids, and those he loved most.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Eric Cerrato of Williamsport, and Craig Cerrato (Heidi) of Jersey Shore; two grandchildren, Gavin Cerrato and Hannah Cerrato; and a nephew, Darren Ciccolini.

Ralph was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Nancy Ciccolini; and a niece, Nicole Ciccolini.

No services will be held at this time.
