Peter Silas Tubbs, 30, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024.
Born on September 10, 1993, in Fort Bragg, NC he was a son of Clinton A. “Jay” and Marta E. (Graciano) Tubbs of Cogan Station.
Peter was a 2011 graduate of Williamsport High School. His passion for service and care for others led him to proudly serve with honor and distinction in the United States Army. After his military service, Peter continued his journey of compassion as a Licensed Practical Nurse, a testament to his enduring desire to help and heal.
Peter's love for life extended into his personal interests. He was a talented guitarist, often found strumming his favorite tunes and sharing his love of music with others. His outgoing nature meant he was at the center of social gatherings, bringing joy and laughter wherever he went. Peter had a big heart and was always there for those in need, providing support, a listening ear, and a shoulder to lean on.
Those who knew Peter would describe him as loving, friendly, and funny. He was a shining presence in the lives of all who knew him, touching many with his laughter and kindness.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two children, Christian Daniel Alexander Tubbs and Maisie Athena Rose Tubbs; two siblings, Alicia Marie Harris (Antonio) of Madison, AL, and Joshua Nathan Tubbs (Hannah Minium) of Cogan Station; a maternal grandmother, Maria E. Graciano, of Pharr, TX; and his niece and nephew, Ariella and Adriel.
A memorial service to honor Peter’s life will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 5, at River Valley Church, 470 Pine St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Peter’s name may be made to Warriors Heart, 756 Purple Sage Rd., Bandera, TX 78003.
