Paul Alan Dunkleberger, 63, of Williamsport passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at UPMC Williamsport. In his final act of kindness, he gave the gift of life through organ donation, continuing to touch lives even after his passing.
Born August 27, 1961 in Williamsport he was a twin son of the late Kenneth L. Dunkleberger and Ann Marie (Bruno) Dunkleberger of Williamsport who survives him.
He was a 1979 graduate of Williamsport High School. He was a member of Faith Wesleyan Church. Paul was a natural-born jack of all trades, known for his remarkable mechanical talents and generous spirit. A certified mechanic, he spent many years at Newberry Garage before eventually opening his own shop, and later worked in the maintenance department at ADS. Whether he was turning a wrench or machining precision parts, Paul’s hands were always busy fixing, building, and helping others. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back, always willing to lend a hand, expecting nothing in return. Outside the garage, Paul loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He found joy in making venison jerky and bologna with his family and friends. He also loved playing games and making people smile. Paul was a wonderful, caring, thoughtful, smart, and funny man with a sharp wit and an even bigger heart.
Surviving in addition to his mother, is his beloved wife of 24 years, Sharon A. (Cowher) Dunkleberger; three children, Alan Dunkleberger; Kristen Mouissi (Rochdi) and Nevaeh Dunkleberger all of Williamsport; three grandchildren, Jaxtyn, Brennan (Marissa), and Natalia; a great-grandson, Braxton; his sisters, Kathleen Caputo (David) and Laura Rader (Todd) all of Williamsport; a twin brother, John Dunkleberger (Constance) of South Williamsport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor the life of Paul will be held 4p.m., Tuesday, April 29, at Faith Wesleyan Church, 1033 Tucker St, Williamsport. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Church.
