Paul L. Bartron, 72, of Williamsport, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at his home.

He was the beloved husband of Virginia M. (Hartranft) Bartron, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.

Born September 25, 1953 in Williamsport, Paul was the son of the late John L. and I. Arlene (Blackwell) Bartron.

He was a 1971 graduate of Williamsport High School.

Before his retirement, Paul worked as a mechanic for 30 years at Kepler then 10 years at Valley Farms.

He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the North Montour Sportsman Club.

Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and archery, watching sports, and working on puzzles. He cherished time spent with his family and took great pride in being “Pop,” faithfully supporting his grandson at all of his activities.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Bartron is survived by his son, Dustin Bartron (Shannon) of DuBoistown; grandson, Eli Bartron; siblings, Jaque Beamer (Bruce) of Cogan Station, Shyann Fisher (Fred) of Berwick, and Arlene Shaheen of Panama City Beach, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenny and John Bartron.
