Pamela Jean (Johnson) Shuler

Pamela Jean Shuler, 77, of Williamsport Pa, entered into the presence of God, Thursday, July 3 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born March 4, 1948, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Wascher) Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Shuler of 58 years, her daughter and best friend Lisa Shuler, a son Brian Shuler; seven grandchildren, Shannon Riordan, Cortney Borrosco, Brittany Borrosco, Mia Shuler, Kyle Shuler, Cole Shuler, and Ellie Shuler, as well as, 10 great-grandchildren, Brennan, Isaac, Claire, Chase, Cameron, Nora, Micah, Lydia, Ashton, and Avah.

Along with her parents, Pam was predeceased by three siblings, Audrey Stryker, Dwain Foresburg, and Robert Johnson.

Pam was a devoted Christian, a disciple to Jesus. Her Christlikeness was shown through her unconditional love, forgiveness, and compassion. She gave grace to everyone despite their actions, offering a bible verse and prayer, while directing focus on redemption, rather than judgement. No matter the storm she weathered, she remained constant in peace, surrendering her fears and worries to Jesus. 

Pam was an elder in her church, led a women’s ministry alongside her daughter, was involved in the church choir, was a leader in BSF, as well as a faithful friend to many.

She and her husband were owners of the Old Jail Getaway Restaurant for many years. She also was co-owner of Heavenly Beautique (hair salon).

She enjoyed bowling with her husband, attempted her best to crack a joke, the family secret keeper, enjoyed tea parties, and would never turn down a piece of chocolate.

A funeral service to honor Pam’s life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8 at Lycoming Centre Presbyterian Church, 656 West Creek Road, Cogan Station. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service, Tuesday, at church.
