Michael B. Welch

Michael B. “Mike” Welch, 79, of Trout Run, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at his home, while surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband to Barbara A. (Kennedy) Welch.

Born October 25, 1944, he was a son of the late Charles and Myrtle (Haldeman) Welch. Mike graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1961 and went on to proudly serve in the United States Air Force. For most of his career, he worked as maintenance supervisor for Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas.

Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming in his free time but especially loved playing guitar and banjo with his brother and his son.

Along with his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara, he also leaves behind three children, April Welch, Myral Bonnell (Russell), and Rob Welch (Maryam); and two grandchildren. Mike is also survived by two siblings, Charles “Fred” Welch, and Jack “JW” Welch.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Myral Kittle.

In keeping with Mike’s wishes, services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
