Michael T. Banzhaf

Michael T. “Mike” Banzhaf, 65, of Williamsport passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the Haven Place.

Born June 19, 1958 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Jack R. and Mary E. (Stopper) Banzhaf.

Mike was a 1977 graduate of Williamsport High School, and was proud to be part of the reunion committee since graduation. He earned an associate’s degree in culinary arts from the former W.A.C.C. Mike worked at Harvest Moon in Newberry for many years.  

Mike loved family; he was a wonderful brother to his five siblings and uncle to their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a profound interest in his family tree and spent many hours figuring out his familial genealogy.

He was the 7th Precinct Judge of Elections for many years. Mike enjoyed spending time at the Elks Club #173 and also enjoyed watching WWE and the Young and the Restless Soap Opera in his down time.

He is survived by five siblings, Linda Banzhaf, JoAnne Harsch, John Banzhaf (Rose), Thomas Banzhaf (Robin), and Richard Banzhaf, all of Williamsport; three nephews, Shawn Harsch, John and Joseph Banzhaf; his great nieces and nephews, Stuart, Jaid, Piper, Leah, and Emma; great-great nephews, Lawson and Daxton; his beloved cats; and a large extended family of cousins and friends.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
