Mary K. (Preziosi) Reifsnyder

Mary K. Reifsnyder, 93, of Cogan Station, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at UPMC-Susquehanna Hospital.

Born September 18, 1924, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Joseph S. and Rose T. (Rhea) Preziosi. 

Mary was a member of the former Annunciation Church, now St. Joseph the Worker Parish. She was a devoted mother and homemaker with a strict set of rules and had expectations for all to follow. She raised her children instilling values of faith, and over the years cared for an additional 35 other foster children.  Mary was an excellent cook and loved music especially Elvis and Daniel O’Donnell.

Surviving are four children, Bonnie E. (George) Gira, of Nisbet, Henry K. (Barbara) Reifsnyder, Jr.  of South Williamsport, Joseph S. (Kay) Reifsnyder of Loyalsock, and Jane M. Bower of Nisbet; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as a sister, Caroline (Layton) Legge of Williamsport and a brother Joseph Preziosi of Williamsport.   

Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Reifsnyder in 1992, a son John H. Reifsnyder, and two sisters, Josephine Labuski and Carmella Coup.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, June 22, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 West Fourth Street, Williamsport. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9- 9:45 a.m. Friday at Sanders Mortuary 821 Diamond St. Williamsport.
