Linda E. Kershner

Linda E. Kershner, 76, of Linden passed away peacefully Friday, March 14, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport.

Born November 13, 1948 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late George and Pearl (Murphy) Bastian.

Linda was employed at Stroehmann’s Bakery for 13 years and more recently she could be found cooking up delicious meals at several local restaurants.

Linda's talents in the kitchen, including her canning skills, were only matched by her unwavering kindness and the strong will that guided her through life's many chapters.  She often could be found crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren who she adored.

Surviving are her three children, Karen Caputo of Muncy, Kathy Bates of Williamsport, and Gary Markley (Beverly) of Montoursville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Phoenix of Williamsport and Janet Day of South Williamsport; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Bastian, and a son in law, Jeff Caputo.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
