Linda K. (Watson) Barone

Linda K. Barone, 72, of South Williamsport, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Gatehouse with her loving daughters by her side. She has been reunited with her late husband of 38 years, Fred W. Barone, who passed away on June 18, 2015.

Born October 3, 1953, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Violet (Younkin) Watson.

Linda graduated from Jersey Shore High School, class of 1971. She was dedicated for 30 years as a teller at Jersey Shore State Bank before her retirement in 2018. She was also co-owner of Crate & Freight with her husband Fred for 21 years. Linda was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. 

 A lifelong fan of the Phillies and Penn State football, and she found much joy in the excitement of the Little League World Series and cherished the moments spent cheering on her favorite teams. Traveling was one of Linda's greatest pleasures, and she seized every opportunity to explore new places, and always returned to her two favorite places, Walt Disney World and Ocean City Maryland.  Her adventures took her on numerous bus trips with friends, creating lasting memories. Yet, no matter how far she roamed, Linda always returned to the comfort of her home and the companionship of her beloved dog, Nala, with whom she enjoyed many peaceful walks in the neighborhood.

Above all, family was the cornerstone of Linda's life and what her world revolved around. Her love for her daughters, and grandchildren knew no bounds, and she reveled in their accomplishments and milestones, always wanting to be their biggest cheerleader and supporter in whatever activities they were doing.

Linda is survived by her three daughters, Gina L. Stoetzel (Mark), of South Williamsport, Kimberly M. Snyder (Jason), of Mechanicsburg, and Molly A. Barone, of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren, Ben, Luke, Zane, Matthew, Delaney, Caleb, and Hayes; a sister, Nancy Waldman (Steve) of Jersey Shore, and a brother, Brion Watson of Lititz.

A funeral service to honor Linda’s life will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St, Williamsport. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday, at Sanders.
