Letitia R. “Tish” Miller, 90, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at The Gatehouse surrounded by family. She has been reunited with her late husband, Ronald E. Miller, who passed on January 6, 2020.
Born December 17, 1934, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Fremont and Letitia R. (Schultz) Newcomer.
For over 30 years, Tish worked in the cafeteria at Roosevelt Elementary School before retiring.
Tish was a master with a needle and thread, pouring love into every stitch; whether crocheting or sewing with her club. Her handcrafted gifts became treasured keepsakes, each piece a testament to her skill and dedication. In the kitchen, she was just as talented, with her cooking making her home the heart of many gatherings. She loved camping with family or relaxing on her porch swing with a gentle smile and soft “Yeppers.” When she wasn’t outside, she was inside catching up on her favorite show, Blue Bloods or taking care of her collection of Precious Moments figurines.
Above all, Tish adored her grandchildren, proudly showing up for every game, recital, and milestone with unwavering love and support.
Surviving are four children, Cathy Snyder (Daniel) of Linden, Dale Miller (Teresa) of Cogan Station, Penny Pfeiffer (Roy) of Linden and Robin Nicholson (Michael) of Bracey, Virginia; 12 grandchildren, Shawn, Jamie, Drew, Stephanie, Cody, Curt, Melissa, Gregory, Sarah, Elyse, Damian, and Kylie; 24 great-grandchildren, Tanner, Allison, Kayleigh, David, Madison, Aubrianna, Sophia, Aija, Makayla, Devin, Emmalee, Hunter, Autumn, Justyn, Kevin, Brennan, Peyton, Elijah, Isaiah, and Nehemiah; and three great-great grandchildren, Cayson, Alayla and Ellis.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nikki Lynn; a great-great granddaughter, Ayana; and three siblings, Fremont Newcomer, Jr., William Newcomer, and Margaret Lowe.
A memorial service to honor Tish’s life will be held 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 27, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will follow at Twin Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service, Friday, at Sanders.
