Leonard Joseph Sherlinski

Leonard J. Sherlinski, 86, of South Williamsport passed away, Friday, November 14, 2025 at home with his beloved wife, Ruth (Jones) Sherlinski by his side.

Born April 22, 1939 in Plymouth, PA he was a son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Haines) Sherlinski.

Leonard was a proud graduate of Plymouth High School. After graduation he went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Marine Corps, dedicating 23 years to military service before retiring. A man of many passions, he enjoyed archery, fly fishing, fly tying, photography, and landscaping. His greatest joy, though, was creating a peaceful and beautiful sanctuary at the home he shared with his beloved wife, Ruth, where together they built a lifetime of memories over their 65 years of marriage. His steady presence, devotion, and craftsmanship touched every corner of their home and every heart that knew him.

Surviving in addition to his wife, is their daughter, R. Lynn Sherlinski; grandchildren, Logan Sherlinski (Shae), Kylie Sherlinski, and Erika Warg (Johnathan); and three great-grandchildren, Bodhi, Isla and Luca.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Leonard J. “Lennie” Sherlinski, II.

A memorial service to honor Leonard’s life will be held 3:30 p.m., Friday, November 21, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street. Military honors will follow accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County.  The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service Friday at Sanders.
