Keith Stryker Obituary

Keith A. Stryker, 69, of Cogan Station died unexpectedly Sunday, November 12, 2023 at UPMC Williamsport. Surviving is his loving wife of 40 years, Denise (Dickey) Stryker, whom he married September 10, 1983.

Born August 3, 1954 in Williamsport he was a son of Joseph R. and Beverly A. (Wright) Stryker of Cogan Station.

He was a 1972 graduate of Williamsport High School and proudly served his country in the United States AirForce.

Keith spent many years as a restaurant manager, owned and operated Sunrise Café in L3 Communications and most recently worked part time at Don Waltman's Market House.

Keith was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church where he had served as council president and currently served as president of the cemetery association. He was a life member of the Hepburn Township Volunteer Fire Company.

A great lover of the outdoors, Keith spent a significant amount of time being outside. He was an avid hunter, who shot and missed a lot. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, shooting pool and the 9 p.m. ice cream date nights that he shared with Grace and Ellie.

His busy-body nature meant that he was constantly on the go, shuffling around, and always finding something to keep him occupied. One of Keith's most significant joys in life was his recent promotion to the role of Pop Pop.

Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two sons, Britt A. Stryker (Kelsey) of South Williamsport and Trevor J. Stryker (Alicia) of Cogan Station; a beloved grandson, Bryson Stryker; two sisters, Karen Stopper of Loyalsock and Kris Moore of Cogan Station; and his fur babies, Grace and Ellie.

A memorial service to honor Keith’s life will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 17 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 1877 St. Michaels Rd, Cogan Station, PA 17728. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service Friday at Church.
