Judy A. Klopp, 79, of Williamsport, passed away December 7, 2023 at UPMC Williamsport surrounded by family.
Born March 20, 1944, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence (Gower) Greenabaum.
After graduating from Williamsport High School in 1962, Judy began working at BiLo Market, formerly Acme Market. She had a love for baking and spent more than 40 years working as the bakery manager.
Judy shared her love for baking at home often treating her family to her homemade pies, apple dumplings, and baking Christmas cookies around the holidays. She loved to vacation at the beach, especially Wildwood, NJ and Rehoboth, DE. Her daughters will always cherish the summer vacations they shared as a family. Judy was an avid sports fan and she particularly loved to watch tennis matches and cheering on her beloved Philadelphia Eagles.
Above all else, Judy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she doted on endlessly. She will be remembered as a generous, kind, and loving woman by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Karen L. Koch (John), of Jersey Shore, and Kimberly A. Hill (Robert, Jr.), of Cogan Station; four grandchildren, Trevor Koch, Hailey Hoffman (Robert), Heidi Koch (Cody Bradley), and Sesily Rose Hill; three siblings, Gloria Frantz (Rodney), Betty Records, and Thomas Greenabaum (Delores); a brother-in-law, Kent Bennett; a special friend, Bonnie Bausinger; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by the father of her children, Russell Klopp; two siblings, Carol Foresman, and Clara Bennett.
A funeral service to honor Judy’s life will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 13, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Sanders.
