John B. Miller, 83, of Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, surrounded by his family, for the great woodshop in the sky. He and his loving wife, Sonya (Sauers) Miller celebrated 62 years of marriage on Jan. 18, 2020.
Born Jan. 12, 1937, in Monroeton, he was a son of the late Roy A. Sr. and Margaret (Magee) Miller.
John was a maintenance supervisor at High Steel for 20 years. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish and enjoyed photography, but his passion was woodworking. John was a devoted family man who would do anything for them.
Surviving in addition to his wife are their children, J. Joseph Miller, of Dillsburg, William Miller (Naomi), of Denver, Colo., Jeanne Plymette, of Selinsgrove, Christine Heinbach (Jon), of Williamsport, Michael Miller (Marty), of Klingerstown, and Elizabeth Livermore (John), of Williamsport; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Hornblower, and Mary Lucas, both of New York; and a brother, Paul Miller, of Denver.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Miller, and Roy A. Miller Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with Father Brian VanFossen officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 9 to 9:50 a.m. Wednesday in the church portico. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
