James Michael Wittlich, 69, of Williamsport passed away Friday, July 18, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville.
Born January 7, 1956 in East St. Louis, IL he was a son of the late Irvin and Marguerite (Rich) Wittlich.
Jim was a proud graduate of South Western Illinois College, Kaplan University, and Colorado Christian University. His passion for creativity and communication led him to a fulfilling career as a self-employed graphic designer before retiring. But it was through ministry that James truly found his calling.
As the pastor and teacher of Honest Faith Ministries, Jim poured his heart into helping others grow in their spiritual journeys. He authored Pigs in the Pulpit, a bold and insightful book reflecting his dedication to truth and integrity within the church. His commitment to spreading the Gospel reached far beyond borders, as Jim taught and ministered to a devoted group of Christians in Pakistan via WhatsApp, a mission he held close to his heart and was deeply proud of.
Outside of ministry, Jim was an avid bowler, a passionate student of military history, and a steadfast advocate of Second Amendment rights. His love of history, liberty, and faith made him a unique and treasured voice in every circle he touched.
Surviving is his loving wife of 40 years, Lori (McMurtrie) Wittlich; three children, Jordan Wittlich (Jourdan Powers) of Lakeville, PA, Lindsey Wittlich and Chelsea Wittlich both of Philadelphia; a sister, Susan Barricklow of Decatur, IL; a sister-in-law, Nina Wittlich Brierly of O'Fallon, IL; two nephews, Steven Wittlich and Tony Barricklow and a niece, Angela Barricklow.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Wittlich.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
