Helen S. Paulhamus, 89, of Jersey Shore, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Born June 15, 1935 she was a daughter of the late Emerson and Hazel (Getgen) Edwards.

She was also a member of the former Larry’s Creek Ladies Auxiliary and Salladasburg Senior Citizens. For seven years Helen volunteered at the Walnut Street Christian School. Helen was an avid gardener, taking pride in cultivating a beautiful array of flowers and vegetables. Her love for canning allowed her to share the bounty of her harvest with friends and family. Helen's talent for solving puzzles was matched only by her skill in the kitchen, where she delighted in making her famous fudge, a treat eagerly anticipated by all who knew her.
Surviving are her four children Cathy Bowman (Dean, Jr.) of Mill Hall, Susan Crago (Michael) of Avis, Floyd "Jed" Paulhamus, Jr. (Michelle) of Jersey Shore and James Paulhamus (Rebecca) of Linden; ten grandchildren, Dean Bowman, III, Tia Walker, Toby Paulhamus, Olivia Pearl, Elijah Paulhamus, Ariana Paulhamus, Daniel Paulhamus, David Paulhamus, Joshua Paulhamus, and Rachael Graber; six great grandchildren, Rosie, Jackson, Cami, Annie, Nico, and Emory; a sister Donna Allen; two sister-in-laws, Bessie Edwards and Ethel Paulhamus; her longtime friend Carl Reustle Jr. as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd L. Paulhamus, Sr. who she shared 30 years of marriage with before his passing in 1984. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Myrtle Pepperman, Dorothy Henry, Ethel Allen, and Shirley Whipple and eight brothers, Lee, Collins, Roland, Elery, James, Charles, Ernie and Harold Edwards.
A funeral service to honor the life of Helen will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 17 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. Burial will follow in State Road Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 at Sanders.
