Hedwig "Hedy" (Heyl) Mankowski

     Hedwig “Hedy” Mankowski, 88, of Williamsport died, Monday, January 27, 2020 at ManorCare North.

     Born March 12, 1931 in Vincenzenbronn Germany, she was a daughter of Jacob and Augusta (Heinz) Heyl.

     She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Walter J. Mankowski in 2001. Hedy had a  jubilant soul; she shared a happiness with others and excitement for life.  

     Surviving are a nephew Joseph “Joe” Silveira (Joanne) of Swansea, MA; a great nephew, Joseph “Joey” Silveira, of New York City; a great niece, Heather Silveira, of Swansea, MA; and numerous loved nieces, nephews and extended family in Germany.

     Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
