Gregory S. Smith

Gregory S. Smith, 63, of Williamsport, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Gatehouse.

He was the loving companion of Melanie S. Stevens with whom he shared 35 years together.

Born in Williamsport, Greg was the son of Kathryn May (Caldwell) Smith of South Williamsport and the late Richard Arlen Smith.

He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.

Greg was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 145 in South Williamsport, the VFW Leroy O. Buck Post No. 7863 in Duboistown, and the Polish Club in Jaysburg.

In addition to Melanie and mother, Kathryn, Greg is survived by his sister, Karen Clark (Mike) of Nesbit; brother, Brian Smith of South Williamsport; nephews, Galen Smith of Cogan Station and Dr. Cain Dudek (Kelly) of Maryland, along with their sons, Teddy and Oliver; a niece, Vicki Houser and nephews, McKenna and Mason. 

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Stevens; sister, Sandra Dudek; and nephew, Caleb Houser.

A celebration of Greg’s life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the VFW Leroy O. Buck Post No. 7863, 150 Shaffer Street, Williamsport, PA 17702.
