Grace A. (Hensler) Kinley, 98, of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, September 20 at Valley View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born August 11, 1925 in Pennsdale, she was the daughter of the late Norman P. and Anna J. (Fry) LeVan.
Grace was a 1944 graduate of Williamsport High School and retired from food service with the Williamsport Area School District at Hepburn-Lycoming Elementary School. She was also a faithful member of the Heshbon Park United Methodist Church for over 70 years. In her free time, she could be found volunteering at the Gatehouse and visiting with residents in local nursing homes.
Grace is survived by a daughter, Sharon Knittle (Terry); five step-children, Greg Kinley, Rebecca Laird (Timothy), Judy Kinley, Tim Kinley and Paul Kinley (Pamela); five grandchildren, Tonya Knittle (Chris), Todd Knittle (Jessica), Shannon Hensler, Nichole Weatherwax (Jim), Kelly Hensler (Desi); 13 step-grandchildren, Melissa (Tim), Chadwick (Kristie) , Adam, Andrea (Jesse) , Leila (Reuben), Caleb, Josh, Jescie, Kinsley, Christopher (Resielyn), Laura, Kathleen (Bryce), and Michael; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law Cynthia; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Robert V. Hensler, and her second husband Robert J. Kinley; a son, Robert C. “Skip” Hensler; and three siblings, Norma Heim, Mary Bjalme, and Norman LeVan, Jr.
A graveside service to honor Grace, with Pastor Jane O’Borski officiating, will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 27 at State Road Cemetery, 6738 Daugherty’s Run Road, Linden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Grace’s name to the Susquehanna Health Foundation, c/o The Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Boulevard Williamsport, PA 17701.
