Geraldine L. Staver

Geraldine L. “Gerri” Staver, 101, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital.

Gerri was married to the Albert A. Faivre for nearly 20 years at the time of his passing in March 1965. She was later remarried to Robert B. Staver who passed away in January 2004.

Born on June 12, 1925 in Williamsport, Gerri was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Pauline M. (Carson) Rice.

For 36 years, she was employed with GTE Sylvania.

Gerri enjoyed playing cards, knitting/crocheting and caring for her plants.

She volunteered in the Gift Shop at the Williamsport Hospital and with Meals on Wheels until she was 94 years old.

Gerri is survived by her children, Steven Faivre (Susan) and Carol Paiton (Robert); four grandchildren, Scott Faivre (Paula), Spencer Faivre (Carey), Jerrie Lee Painton, and Lori Beth Paiton; two great grandchildren, Jacob and Kayla; brother, Charles Rice, Jr. (Penny); as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lucille, Sheldon, Robert and Jerome Rice.

A service to honor Gerri’s life will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 22nd at her graveside in Twin Hills Memorial Park, 3332 Lycoming Mall Dr., Montoursville.
