Eleanor C. Kline, 101, of Montoursville passed away, Thursday, January 23, 2025 in Loyalsock Township where she has lived since August 1, 1971.
Born January 20, 1924, in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter of the late John and Nellie (Myers) Koch.
Eleanor put as much effort into her work at home as she did in any job she ever had. With a variety of jobs throughout her life, she understood the value of hard work and always gave her best. In the East End, she gained a reputation for her precise ironing skills. Neighbors, friends, doctors, lawyers, and other professionals from the Williamsport area would bring their freshly washed dress shirts to her home for the best ironing in town.
Eleanor was a former member of East End Baptist Church, where she served as a Deacon. She loved cooking and often took the lead in preparing the family’s Christmas feast. Additionally, she was a skilled baker, known for her delicious creations.
Surviving are her children, Judy D. Fogleman (Kenneth) of Etters, PA and Terry H. Kline, of Williamsport; a grandson, Kenneth Fogleman (Rita) of Branchport, NY; a sister-in-law, Blanche Koch of Williamsport; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Harold W. Kline; and siblings, Ted, Jack, Lee, Charles, Elizabeth, Irene and Baby Boy Koch.
A funeral service to honor Eleanor’s life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 29 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. Burial will be held privately in Jersey Shore Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, Wednesday, at Sanders.
