Dwaine L. Wilson

Dwaine L. Wilson, 77, of Williamsport passed away peacefully surrounded by family Thursday, January 1, 2026. Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years, Shelby (Romig) Wilson.

Born August 30, 1948 in McVeytown he was a son of the late Robert and Marian (Matthews) Wilson.

Dwaine graduated from West Snyder High School and earned an Associates degree from WACC. He went on to work at Bethlehem Steel for 16 years and later retired from Conagra- Chef Boyardee after 26 years of service.

Dwaine was a faithful member of Hillview Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon. He found great joy in the outdoors. He especially loved hunting and fishing, where he felt most at peace surrounded by God’s creation.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Chad Wilson (Elizabeth) of Muncy, and Jeffrey Wilson (Elisha) of Islamorada, FL; three grandchildren, Kyle, Kayla, and Amber; two brothers, James Wilson (Lou Ann) of McClure and Timothy Kline (Deb) of Millmont.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert B. Wilson in 2006 and his sisters, Mary Jane and Bets.

A funeral service to honor the life of Dwaine will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 8 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at Sanders.
