Doris Rowe Obituary

     Doris Rowe, 64, of Montoursville died Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.

     Born June 8, 1955, in Williamsport she was a daughter of the late Glenn and Lois (Getgen) Klopp.

     Doris was a 1973 graduate of Williamsport High School and earned a Graphic Arts degree from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 1990. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.

     Doris was strong willed, patient, and kind. She had a heart of gold and loved talking to strangers, making friends anywhere she went.  She traveled extensively, having made trips to Germany, Cancun and San Francisco in addition to living along the east coast of Northern Virginia, Pinehurst and Raleigh North Carolina, throughout her life. She could be found gardening, making stain glass, cooking, and sharing recipes with her loved ones. Doris loved animals, particularly her dog Vera and watching birds, especially cardinals.  

     Surviving are her children, Melissa Anne Numainville (Dave) and Ashley Louise Mathis (Brandon), both of Minneapolis, MN., and Matthew Paul Lumbard (Sherry), of Richmond, VA; a grandson, Logan Mathis; a sister, Ann Louise Parke, of Montoursville; and her beloved dog, Vera.

     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Russell G. Klopp.

     Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

     In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Doris’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. 3rd Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
