Donna L. Fredrickson

Donna L. Fredrickson, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Leighton Place in Williamsport. Born on May 28, 1934, in Paintsville, Kentucky, Donna was a daughter of the late Robert and Gladys (Erickson) Greulick. Her life was a testament to the values of family, education, and service, leaving a legacy of warmth and devotion that will be remembered by all who knew her.

Donna's journey of lifelong learning began at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, where she dedicated herself to the pursuit of knowledge. Her passion for education led her to a fulfilling career as a school teacher with Akron Public Schools, in Akron, OH, where she inspired countless students until 1967. After the birth of her children, Donna embraced the role of a homemaker with the same zeal and love she had shown in her professional life.

Donna's commitment to her community was evident through her volunteer work alongside her husband at Haven of Rest Ministries. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and as a dedicated member of the McNaughton Street Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio, she lived out her beliefs through service and fellowship. A woman of many interests, Donna found joy in the beauty of flower gardening and the art of cooking, where she brought comfort to family and friends alike.

Donna leaves behind her loving son Eric Fredrickson (Heather), grandsons Alex (Becca) and Cody Fredrickson, and her devoted sister Ann Lowe (Rex). Along with her parents, Donna was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Evert Fredrickson, and her daughter Amy McCrossin.

Described as loving, faith-filled, and selfless, Donna's presence was a gift to those around her. She approached life with a gentle strength and a heart full of compassion, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her unwavering support and unconditional love were the cornerstones of her family, creating a nurturing environment where all felt valued and loved.

Services to honor will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
