Dennis C. Brown, 75, of South Williamsport, formally of Spruce Creek, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at his home.

He was the beloved husband of Patsy McLaughlin Brown, with whom he shared 15 years of marriage.

Born in Huntingdon, Dennis was the son of the late Donald C. and Doris Geist Brown.

He was a 1968 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and 1972 graduate of Penn State University, State College, where he was a member of Theta Delta Chi. 

Upon graduation, Denny spent his entire career in the insurance business, including his last 25 years as President & CEO of Jeffries/Brown Insurance. 

Denny was an avid hunter, with turkeys being his biggest passion. He spent many trips out west and belonged to Path Gap Hunting Camp as well as Dunwoody Big Bear Fish and Game Club, Inc. 

He also coached both youth baseball and football for many years in the South Williamsport School District. 

In addition to his wife, Denny is survived by his sons, Andrew Brown (Carrie) and Michael Brown (Cari); step daughters, Allison Genard (Nathan), Rachel Dubois (Daniel) and Rebecca Blazer; eight wonderful grandchildren, who he adored, Rylie & Carter Brown, Payton & Brayden Brown, Zoe Genard, Parker & Brynn Dubois and Cole Blazer; and brother, Douglas Brown (Perri).

A private service will be held at a later date.
